Toni Ellis is an educator with a purpose. With both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Education, it is evident that she is committed to the pursuit of higher learning. She has served in the Clark County School District as an elementary school teacher and a guidance counselor in middle school. This woman of integrity has had her share of challenging experiences that have shaped her authentic moral views both personally as well as professionally. She uses her life's testimony to give back to her community. Her eclectic experiences from childhood to adulthood have contributed to the genuine empathetic approach she takes when assisting young people with their issues of life. It is her true heart's desire to help others see past their pain and to encourage them to press towards a more elevated purpose and existence.

Mrs. Ellis is a product of Clark County Schools and has worked with Las Vegas youth since 1997. She helps to facilitate various community outreach programs for the "at risk" population and uses her own financial resources to create opportunities for young people to hone their artistic skills by providing venues for them to present their talents in music, dance, theater, and poetry. Her commitment to excellence and dedication to urban renewal is inspiring to everyone. Toni is a skillful vocalist and poet whose recent discovery of talent as a photographer has led to her becoming the featured artist at the West Las Vegas Arts Center during their Women's History appreciation focus from March 3, 2007 - April 29, 2007.

As a mother of three beautiful daughters, it is paramount that she be proactive in preparing her girls to become responsible citizens and valuable contributors among all women in this world. Their future accomplishments should include more than getting married and having children. Raising healthy young women means educating them to become self-sufficient human beings and productive participants in this society. She leads by example as a multifaceted woman of today: Wife, mother, educator, realtor, artist, activist, and mentor. Constantly reinventing herself teaches her daughters to avoid stagnation and pursue passions above the norm.

Toni is aware of the special circumstances of the young ladies in this community. As a proud graduate of Valley High School, Class of '87, and alumni of UNLV, she knows first-hand the mentality of the youth in "Sin-City".   Nevertheless, she has toured Japan, resided in Germany, set-up house in several different states coast to coast, and brings with her a wealth of culturally diverse experiences that have served to enhance her knowledge of the worldwide female plight.

The journey of Toni Ellis has only just begun. She has plans of using her skills to improve the quality of alternative educational programs offered to the youth in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her talents in writing have led to the development of a line of books that she hopes to have published one day soon. The books focus on the emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness of children and their families.

Toni freely offers her gifts and talents to assist the youth of today, thereby, grooming the leaders of tomorrow.
